Russia more than a country is a continent. In the early 18th century its borders stretched from the very hub of Central Europe through the Berlin Gate(s) till the Strait of Bering in front of Alaska. They are the result of a policy of continuous expanding (an expansionistic policy) which lasted for centuries and to which even the communist regime did not renounce. Russia has always been in the hands of a monarchy which made its 140 million subjects living like in a feudal society. Here the revolutionary spark was ignited, the same spark which after 17 years turned this territory into the first Communist country in the world. A long and tormented history began, dominated from charismatic figures like Lenin and Stalin, steeped in/full of big hopes for a better world as well as bitter disappointments, pains, suffers, ruthless acts and muss murders / massacres.

Then it comes the moment of the dreadful campaign against Hitler which the Russian will win thank to their heroism, to their sacrifices and to their incredible capacity to develop in a short period of time a mighty war maschine.
