Oldrich Lipský's satirical comedy takes place in the future, in "508 after Sputnik". A man from the mid-twentieth century, the upholsterer Josef (played brilliantly by Miloš Kopecký), inadvertently reaches this time. His mundane consumerist desires seem so strange in the age of ideal society that he ends up in a psychiatric clinic. Josef's companion on Earth becomes Adam (Radovan Lukavský), a resident of Modrá hvezda, whose technical thinking follows with astonishment the love of young researcher Peter and psychiatrist Eva... With the realization of a surprisingly fresh comedy based on the theme of Miloš Fiala, Jan Fišer and Oldrich Lipský, it was one tilted for a while, because in the middle of filming, Yuri Gagarin flew into space, and any satire immediately appeared in a different light. It was the first title character for Miloš Kopecky, until then he had only played minor and medium roles. Despite the necessary "educational moments", the comedy is so funny thanks to the direction and excellent acting that it still enjoys the favor of friends of Czech films. (Czech television)

However, I am very glad that the upholsterer Josef explained to me the long past in which he did not like racists, Jews and blacks. And be that as it may, a man from the first century can entertain me at any time, even if I have to admit that he runs out of juice at the end.
