Spiders don't just bring luck.

A mysterious island surrounded by a fine web of cobwebs. Four pairs of thin legs await her quiver, signaling prey. Insect eyes, observing the future food's futile efforts to extricate themselves. Hard mandibles ready to sink into the soft entrails of the victim. Agony of pain mixed with terror. And then... nothing. Death.

Spiders are said to bring good luck. A giant spider should bring great luck. This is not always the case. This one brings death. A painful and monstrous death.
