Sergeant Wells' unit arrives in the Scottish Highlands for a few days of training. Along the way, they find a camp with only blood and weapons that no one had time to fire. At the same time, they find Captain Ryan, who was the only survivor. Ryan's ramblings about how there was supposed to be only one are ignored by the unit until they hear the first terrifying howl. A frantic escape begins, followed by the longest night in the fight against a mysterious enemy who doesn't care much about ordinary bullets.
